"Americans accustomed in recent months to a daily dose of gloomy economic news may find a silver lining in the health care industry as aging baby boomers fuel demand for drugs, health services and medical supplies, boosting the companies that make them...What an embarrassment.
But health care, which today makes up 16 percent of gross national product, three times as much as in 1960, according to Kaiser Foundation, is one of a handful of sectors like mining, farming and natural resources to thus weather the economic storm."
Fitness Watch is your site for making sense of fitness advice.
"Truth" has a shelf life.
The shelf life of "truth" is very short in the domains of fitness, health and well-being.
The reason is that so much of what we are told is "true" is really baseless.
At Fitness Watch we separate fitness information from fitness noise.

Kudos, fatsos.
It is amazing all the negative stuff today..and the health care industry growing because of boomer generation...Are we just more prescription crazy or what has caused all this...I just think if we would all take some time to eat well, exercise and think about what we do. oh well anyone can dream...carol stanley "ForKids 59.99 and Over"
ReplyDeleteHello, Carol and welcome to Fitness Watch.
ReplyDeleteI share some of your dream. (I replace "exercise" with "training.")
I will not reduce your query to mere rhetoric. Let me broadly suggest that we have arrived at this point by a process of abdication, i.e., the responsibility for our lives and the lives of our children has been shifted volitionally from us to others.
And these others care more for themselves than they do for those who have abandoned themselves and their kids.
Only reclaiming ownership of our responsibilities will reverse the trend.
Thanks, again, for visiting Fitness Watch.
