Overweight asthmatics have more hospital admissions

Paying for fat people's diseases of choice is enough to take the breaths away from fit people.

"Excess pounds may increase the likelihood of being hospitalized for a severe asthma attack, a new study suggests.

Researchers found that among more than 400 patients who were seen in the emergency department for an asthma attack, those who were overweight or obese tended to have longer emergency department stays and were more likely to be admitted to the hospital."
