Health care waits to ignite as campaign issue

We probably will not spend a lot of Fitness Watch time on the so-called "health care" debate since health and fitness are two separate issues, related only where they touch at BMI or Body Mass Index.

But, here is a point to consider.

The sick care industry is a rescue and repair industry.

The worse condition the thing, in this case a person, enters a rescue and repair industry, the more difficult it is to fix.

Reform of a rescue and repair industry is much more difficult and costly than improving the condition of what enters it.

Anyone, any politician, who claims that he or she can "fix" the sick care system is lying through his or her teeth.

The only way to "fix" the system appreciably is for those entering it to be in better condition.

Anything less is certain to fail.
