Diabetes May Elevate Risk of Cancer Surgery

Oops.
Pre-existing diabetes may substantially boost postoperative mortality risk in cancer patients, according to a meta-analysis.
Cancer patients were 51% to 85% more likely to die after surgical resection if they had preexisting diabetes, a statistically significant different, according to Hsin-Chieh "Jessica" Yeh, PhD, of Johns Hopkins, and colleagues.
Kudos, fatsos.
