More Heat for Aspirin in New Primary-Prevention Meta-Analysis: "Creativity" Needed to Determine Who Will Benefit

And for how many years have we been told to do a daily aspirin?
Two new analyses presented at the American College of Cardiology 2010 Scientific Sessions...aimed at updating the groundbreaking Aspirin Treatment Trialists' Collaboration (ATTC) meta-analysis of May 2009, has found that even with the addition of three new trials to the mix, the benefits of aspirin for primary prevention do not appear to "substantially outweigh" the risks.

Moreover, in a subgroup analysis looking just at diabetic subjects, investigators found no relationship between aspirin use and 10-year risk of cardiovascular events.
Still think they have any idea what they are talking about?
