Grant to help fight obesity among children, parents

Another way to take from the calorically responsible and give to the calorically rich.
"A nearly $600,000 grant will help more than 30,000 San Fernando Valley children and their families lose weight, learn how to eat healthier and provide more physical-education instructors, officials will announce today....

the grant will provide scales at 36 schools and pedometers for the students."

Why don't they pay fit people the $600,000 to talk at the schools and explain to the students how they can become calorically fit?
