Miss. law would ban serving obese diners

Still a good idea. And a stupid legislator.

The still good idea:

"A state lawmaker wants to ban restaurants from serving food to obese customers — but please, don't be offended. He says he never even expected his plan to become law."

Again, this is better applied initially to minors since it is easier, though, also applying it to adults is smarter.

The stupid legislator:

"The state House Public Health Committee chairman, Democrat Steve Holland of Plantersville, said he is going to "shred" the bill."

This dimbulb has apparently never heard of Dram Shop Acts (or Dram Shop-like Acts in the case of Mississippi).

Vote him out.
