NIH Launches Center to Study Genomics and Health Disparities

Wasted tax dollars.

"The National Institutes of Health (NIH) today announced the establishment of the NIH Intramural Center for Genomics and Health Disparities (NICGHD), a new venue for research about the way populations are impacted by diseases, including obesity, diabetes and hypertension."

Since there will never be a "genetic cure" of overweight/obesity, it is an undertaking of no value.

Except to the researchers who will live off your wasted tax dollars.

But, of more than passing interest, is that in order to get the public to buy in, literally and figuratively, NIH chose to present it as a means to cure overfatness.

Just shows the desperation.

And stupidity.
