For weight loss that really counts, count calories

At last some sense.

Too bad it is from Mayo, one of the greater perpetrators of harmful diet advice.

Still, at least the Calories part is right. Focus here. Do not fixate on the "exercise" part until you have control over the Calories part.

BTW, there are easier ways to accomplish this than counting Calories. In fact, you can succeed without counting a single Calorie.

Also, portion control is unnecessary if you can change what you eat.

But, if you want to keep eating the same foods as you do currently, portion control will likely be necessary.

Meal timing, meal frequency, meal composition, anything and everything except Calories In, Calories Out is virtually meaningless.

Forget: the likes of Jorge Cruise, David Katz, Art Agatston, Atkins, Oprah, Dr. Phil, Bob Greene, Ian Smith, Bob Atkins, Oz and Roizen, Harvard, Mayo Clinic, ketogenic dieting (so-called low-carb dieting), Fat Flush, Fat Smash, Carb-Buster, Protein Power, supplements, doctors, the AMA, the NIH, the government, etc. In fact, forget all of the so-called experts.

IMHO, their advice will overwhelmingly lead to ruin.

Better yet, forget everything you have ever heard about dieting.

Remember: bottom line, it's all about Calories In, Calories Out.
