Access To 'Healthy' Food Stores Associated With Lower Prevalence Of Obesity In New York City

A title that spins a PC approach, but the article itself does not quite support it.
"BMI-unhealthy food stores and restaurants -- although far more abundant than healthy ones -- were not significantly associated with higher BMI or prevalence of obesity."
And what are "BMI-unhealthy food stores and restaurants"?
"..BMI-unhealthy food outlets are fast food restaurants and convenience stores."
The research really says that "BMI-unhealthy" food stores and restaurants are not the causes of elevated BMIs, i.e., overweight/obesity.

Overweight/obesity is caused by more Calories in than out.

Period.

Caloric sources notwithstanding.

And if you need visual confirmation, walk into any "health" food or Whole Foods store and look at the number of fat people.

To succeed, focus on what is important, not what is fashionable or promoted for a political agenda.
