"Kids who load up on salty meals and snacks get thirsty, and too often they turn to calorie-filled sodas. So maybe cutting back on the salt is a good way to cut the calories. That's the idea coming from a British study published Wednesday in an American Heart Association journal."If sugar-free beverages were chosen, Poof!, Calories are gone.
"Also, several studies have shown a link between sugary soft drinks and obesity in children."Hey, lookie there, they agree. Much to their credit.
Also to their credit, I have been okay for years now with reducing salt in foods.
Though the real issue is what people will do at the table with salt.
In any event, reducing the salt in food gives people more control over how quickly they want to kill themselves and additional reasons for us not to pay for their diseases of choice.
