April Is National Child Abuse Prevention Month - 30 Tips and Facts in 30 Days

With certainty, fattening kids up by making them overweight/obese is child abuse.

Nutritional child abuse is the most common form of child abuse of which we are aware. About one-third of all kids are overweight or obese. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month in the USA. To help these children, who are arguably the most abused on earth, Fitness Watch will offer 30 tips and facts – one for each day in April – directed at saving the children. Even if you are not from the USA, these facts and tips can help you and your children, too.

Today’s Fact – Kids emulate their parents. The absolute best thing you can do to help your child is to set a good example. Nutritionally, this means controlling your own weight. You can do this if you want. More precisely, you can do this if the well-being of your children is of enough importance to you since fat parents raise fat kids (And no, it is not genetics. This will be discussed April 12.). Having someone to abuse is a bad reason for having a child. Trying to give your child the best life he or she can have is a nobler undertaking. Part of that is raising them without the specter of bad illnesses, social ostracism and limited participation in life that are direct sequelae of overweight/obesity.
