"Women who are very obese and go through early menopause may have a substantially elevated risk of endometrial cancer, a new study suggests. All this just for a few extra mouthfuls of food.
Endometrial cancer arises in the endometrium, the lining of the uterus, and various factors related to women's hormone production -- such as timing of menopause, number of pregnancies and body weight -- have been linked to the risk of developing the disease.
These latest findings, from a study of 3,600 U.S. women ages 20 to 54, confirm the relationship between obesity and higher endometrial cancer risk."
Good decision-making.
You should be proud of yourselves.

Hey Dr. Attorney Applebaum with your comments -- "Kudos, fatsos," "All this just for a few extra mouthfuls of food," etc -- you blame fat women for the cancer in their bodies.
Are you implying that being fat is the cause for cancer?
My slender wife, 114 lbs. and 5 ft. 6 in., with tiny, womanly muscles all over, who has exercised most of her adult life five days a week, not counting walking seven days a week, has been diagnosed with uterine and ovarian cancer.
If being fat makes fat women responsible for their cancer, being slender doesn't keep slender women from getting cancer.
Hello, Comment, and welcome to Fitness Watch.
No. That is not what I am saying, nor is that what the article said.
"Women who are very obese and go through early menopause may have a substantially elevated risk of endometrial cancer, a new study suggests."
Fat women elevate their risk of developing certain cancers.
For that, they are responsible.
Just as driving carefully will not prevent everyone from plowing into you, it will decrease your risk of an accident.
Though there may be no guarantees, there are ways to push the odds in one's favor.
Sorry to hear about your wife.
I wish her (and you) the best in overcoming the cancers.
Thank you for visiting.
