Pioglitazone is associated with an increased risk for incident bladder cancer among persons with type 2 diabetes, according to the results of a nested case-control study published online May 31 in the British Medical Journal. Risk doubled in patients treated with pioglitazone for 2 years or more.Lose the weight.
