"Numbers now show that worksite wellness programs implemented by Nebraska businesses are improving the quality of health for many working Nebraskans. To get an idea of what one needs to do to achieve workplace wellness excellence in Nebraska, click here and check out the criteria.
Thirty-eight large and small companies across the state were the first to receive the Governor's Excellence in Wellness Award in 2008 for their accomplishments in worksite wellness by demonstrating significant improvement in employee health status."
Pathetic. And where are the controls for honest evaluation?
It should be clear that workplace wellness programs (WPs), like school-based "healthy" eating and "exercise" programs are failures and will continue to fail for as long as they are configured according to the conventional stupidity.
If businesses are truly interested in cutting the costs of sick care and improving the productivity of their employees, the carrots the government holds out to them for implementing WPs, then they will have to mount an insurgency to fight the recommendations that prevent them from achieving these goals.
The experts are the enemies of business.
The sooner businesses realize this, the sooner they can create a chance to succeed.
Otherwise, they are doomed to fail with near certainty.
