Fat Burns Faster After Low-Glycemic Breakfast

Absolutely unimportant.
"A low glycemic-index breakfast enhanced the fat-burning effects of moderate exercise in sedentary women, according to a small British study.

Fat oxidation increased significantly during a 60-minute walk when the women consumed low glycemic-index carbohydrates for breakfast, Emma Stevenson, Ph.D., of the University of Nottingham, and colleagues reported online in the Journal of Nutrition."
Significance, in medical-ese, is a statistical concept.

It does not mean that it makes a real difference to real people in the real world.

As an indication of how little effect this really had, reading this article will provide zero information on how many additional Calories this amounted to.

Plus, in addition to having to walk for an hour, the researchers apparently calculated that the total number of Calories the participants required per day was 882:
"the meals were matched with respect to carbohydrate, protein, and fat content and were designed to provide 30% of the daily energy requirement for participants.

Test breakfasts for each group totaled 265 calories."
265 x 3.3 = 882.

This is about the same number of Calories the people in the Warsaw Ghetto were rationed with the express intention of killing them from starvation in 3 months.

Bottom line, this is all crap.

The GI has been discredited over and over again for weight loss.

All that matter is Calories In vs. Calories Out.

If you listen to all these distractions, you will not only fail but go insane trying to follow clearly conflicting advice.

The reasons for the conflicts are certain: because they choose to ignore or are too stupid to realize that all that matters are the Calories, they have no idea what works so they make up stories.

Do not listen to their drivel if you want to succeed.

Follow what will always work and without conflict.
