Or how the early settlers in the USA for example, weathered snow, rain, storms, etc., and other hazards without the benefit of "functional foods" or the time to make yogurt or remove the fat from milk?
Maybe it was an April Fools thing.
Or maybe these people are the fools and you are one, too, if you buy their s**t.
