Epilepsy drug linked to birth defects

Still think they know what a safe drug is to treat your overfatness?
"Women who use the epilepsy drug topiramate (Topamax) during pregnancy are at risk for having a baby with a serious birth defect, investigators report in the journal Neurology."
Think again.

Problems with drugs show up years after they are on the market.

Studies have shown that a large portion of the responsibility of the rising instances of birth defects and premature babies can be owed to overweight mothers. Women who have been overweight in their earlier lives or during their pregnancy run the risk of facing complications during the birth of their children. http://www.phentermine-effects.com

Hello, Dr. Una Dr. Ula and welcome to Fitness Watch.

With certainty, the harmful effects of drugs may not become known for years and the data on overweight/obese women and birth defects, delivery complications, etc., appear compelling.

It is obviously best not to get fat in the first place, not to take drugs for overweight/obesity and to reduce weight naturally, i.e., via caloric control.

My name is Maree Sneed and i would like to show you my personal experience with Topamax.

I am 27 years old. Have been on Topamax for 3 months now. Had severe debilitating migraines at least 2x a week. Had to stay in bed. I have a 7 year old. I was missing out on everything. Now I can get out of bed and get on with my day. I am down to maybe 1 migraine a month and it is functional not crippling.

I have experienced some of these side effects -
weight loss, no appetite, severe mood swings, emotional, yucky taste to cola, thirsty, thirsty, thirsty, extreme fatique

I hope this information will be useful to others,
Maree Sneed
