Kids' Weighty Issues Tackled At Obesity And Eating Disorder Conference

Another doomed to fail conference.
"Health professionals from across Australia will meet in Brisbane at a University of Queensland conference focused on prevention and treatment of childhood obesity and eating disorders.

The two-day conference, Perspectives on Childhood Obesity and Eating Disorders: from Prevention to Treatment, is hosted by UQ's Children's Nutrition Research Centre. It will explore core issues surrounding Australia's growing need for weight management solutions for children, including recent research that has uncovered new and effective methods of treatment."
Clearly crap since if they "uncovered new and effective methods of treatment" there would be no need for a conference. It would be all over the news and in the literature for everybody to see, then implement.
"'We will be covering the clinical, psychological and social challenges of obesity with experts, and working through strategies to tackle them and also learning how body image and contemporary social pressures have the potential to influence eating behaviour,' Associate Professor Davies said."
Here is the death knell, "covering the clinical, psychological and social challenges of obesity with experts..."

No focus on the only thing that matters, controlling Calories in vs. Calories out.

And the only way to achieve it, i.e., holding all nutritional child abusers (e.g., parents, doctors, teachers) accountable for their actions.

Thanks for your comment, sample, and welcome to Fitness Watch.

As my regular readers can imagine, I am not in agreement with your "prescription."

There is but one suggestion to make and that is to consume fewer Calories than are burned.

Nothing else matters.

Thanks, again.
