It's bad again.
"Atrial fibrillation appears to be associated with coffee consumption, researchers found.
Afib patients in Italy had a higher intake of caffeine from coffee and a lower adherence to the cardioprotective Mediterranean diet, Anna Vittoria Mattiolo, MD, of the University of Modena in Italy, told attendees at a press briefing at the European Society of Cardiology Congress.
'We've found the Western diet is growing in our country,' Mattiolo said.
High levels of caffeine have been associated with ventricular arrhythmias, but the role of overall diet in atrial fibrillation has been less examined, she said."
A little history:
Still think they have any idea what a "healthy" food is?
