"Just as additives help gasoline burn cleaner, a research report published in the January 2008 print issue of The FASEB Journal shows that the food industry could take a similar approach toward reducing health risks associated with fatty foods."But will your bodily exhausts contribute even more to global warming?
Not worth the risk.
But here is an interesting motivation for "scientists."
"'As long as deep fried candy bars are on menus, scientists will need to keep serving up new ways to prevent the cellular damage caused by these very tasty treats,' said Gerald Weissmann, MD, Editor-in-Chief of The FASEB Journal. 'This study suggests that the time will come where people can eat french fries without plugging their arteries."'Maybe we should just let people experience the consequences of their food choices instead and spend time and money and scientific effort on other things - like a pollution free car or something.
It just seems that Dr. Weissmann could apply science to a better and higher purpose than french fries served up with alcohol.
Of course, low-level scientists might not be smart enough to think beyond that.
