How retailers get in your head to get you to buy

The morons at MSNBC use similar tricks to con you into believing their drivel.

But there is one important point in this article re: overweight/obesity.
"And when math is involved, most of us can't cope. For example: See if you can calculate the total savings in the setup: 20 percent off the original price plus an additional 25 percent off the sale price. How much is that item marked down? If you said 45 percent off, then your math skills are as pitiful as the 85 percent of college students who also got this wrong in a study last year by researchers at the University of Miami and the University of Minnesota. The right answer: 40 percent off."
Innumeracy or crappy math skills.

Too fat is a math problem. Too many Calories in relative to Calories out. (there is also a physics component, unnecessary for weight loss)

Too fat is not and will never be a medical or any other type of problem than a math problem.

Because it is a math matter, people are easily conned by IMHO predators like Oprah, Oz, Greene, Katz, Cruise, Zinczenko, McGraw, the sick care industry, Big White, Big Pharma, the government and the other unsavory players in the weight loss game.

These people and entities are, IMHO, your killers and your children's killers.

Who can rescue you and your kids (besides me)?

Read this rant.

It presents an almost idiot-proof way to reliably reduce Calories by a known amount on a regular basis. ("Almost idiot-proof" since idiots are so ingenious compared to mere fools.)

Then think about it.

It is a what works world. You can make this work for you.
