Little Or No Progress In Changing Unhealthy Lifestyles

Who could have predicted this?
"Most health care experts blame American lifestyles, and particularly the large number of Americans who are obese, as one reason why life expectancy in the United States is lower than in many other countries. They also agree that the best thing we could do to improve our health would be to reduce tobacco use, exercise more and eat less and more healthy food. Unfortunately we have not been able to do this. Every year, The Harris Poll® measures the number of people who smoke, who are overweight and obese and who wear seatbelts. The latest Harris Poll finds little reason for optimism that Americans can learn to live more healthy lifestyles."
Fitness Watch readers, that's who.

Of course there is "little reason for optimism that Americans can learn to live more healthy lifestyles."

First, note that the experts are in sick care and they do not know squat about fitness or weight loss - unless you call executioner dieting a good way to go.

I do not.

Second, "exercise" is a terribly inefficient way to lose weight.

Third, there are no such things as "healthy foods" in the weight debate. There is, however, eating healthily.

There will never be resolution to this issue until the people with the power are held accountable for their terrible advice and fat people are held accountable for their caloric choices and the nutritional child abuse that stems from them.

Never, ever.
