"Being severely obese is as hazardous to health as a lifetime of smoking, shortening life by a decade, a group of Oxford University experts has warned."The mechanism that affects the rest of us is from the wasted resources that are squandered dealing with fat people's diseases of choice.
As examples, there are the gazillions wasted researching a "cure" for lifting the fork too many times to the mouth, a "cure" for the too stupid to cut back on eating when your reflection no longer fits in the mirror and a "cure" for the ginormous carbon shadow on a sunny day that offers entire classrooms of children shelter from the sun.
Second-hand fat is a killer and we should not be subjected to it.
