It is hard to describe this. Is it the apex or nadir of stupid?

Try wiring their jaws shut first.

It's cheaper and they can pay for it themselves.

BTW, it is very likely that bariatric surgery is NOT less costly than allowing people the privilege of getting their self-inflicted illnesses and that the cost-saving argument is simply untrue.
