The nuts out there have no idea what a "healthy" food or supplement is.
It is okay to say "I do not know."
It is better to say "I do not know," than tell people, as the "health" food and supplement industries do, that their products are beneficial.
(The sick care, conventional foods, etc. industries engage in similar behaviors. They are not the topic of this blog entry.)
These predators would rather con and kill you than simply admit to ignorance.
And then let you choose your poison. Which they supply and for which they charge.
Plainly, no one knows about this "healthy" stuff. All of it is speculation.
If you want to gamble on speculation, that is a choice. People make that choice every day.
It is a necessary part of living.
The difference is that when it comes to fitness, there are just three simple principles that one has to follow and if you follow them, you MUST succeed.
I say this, because in every species on the planet where the Three Principles of Fitness (tm) have been tested, they have worked.

Give yourself a chance to succeed without breaking the bank or putting known harmful substances in your body.
Get fit.

And it requires no myths, no "healthy" foods, no "healthy" supplements, no hope, no hype, no fads, no Oprah (the Killer Queen of fitness, IMHO).
And if you need motivation to start, look into the eyes of your (or a) child.
