Barely 3% Of 11 Year Olds In UK Do Enough Exercise

Another example of where failing strategies get you - to failure. Duh. What did you expect?

"Barely 3% of UK children aged 11 are doing enough exercise, when they should be spending at least one hour a day doing some form of physical activity if they want to minimize their chances of developing diabetes type 2 or becoming obese later on in life, says an article published in the Archives of Disease in Childhood (BMJ)."

If anyone wants to "minimize their chances of developing diabetes type 2 or becoming obese" or overweight, do not use exercise as a primary means.

It will not work. (see above, here and here.)

Use caloric intake control.

It is the only reasonable and lasting way.

But do not follow expert diet advice. That cannot work.

Use training to distribute your weight between fat and lean.

"Exercise" is almost always useless. (see here, here and here.)

And expert exercise recommendations are worse than useless.

They are harmful.
