"Imagine spending 42% of your income after taxes on food. That's how much a family of four receiving income assistance in BC would need to spend to purchase enough healthy food."Forget the "healthy" foods myth perpetrated on an unsuspecting public and progressed by these dangerous dietitians.
The concept of "healthy" food for weight loss is a lot of crap from the get-go. Even suggesting it to poor (or rich) people is a violation.
There is no comfort from this violence being inflicted by "professionals."
Real violence also occurs in the diet program food industry where lies, over-pricing and bull are the real things that are fed.
Diet program foods can and do cost over 10 times more per Calorie than real food.
And the programs are doomed to fail.
Caveat Emptor.
