Does milk really do a body good?
More who really knows what "healthy" food is?
But first, I am clear that Men's Health magazine, Rodale (its publisher) and David Zinczenko (its editor-in-chief) are full of crap. In fact, it is my opinion that Rodale is one of the most harmful businesses out there in the fitness arena. You might conclude otherwise. I think you would be wrong.
The article itself is trash and if you read it note that there are no citations, just some dimbulb's assertion that since he is "a nutritionist, [he's] found that most people thrive on milk, whether their goal is to lose fat or build muscle."
Big deal.
For a counterpoint to this bad article, and I am not endorsing this book or the research, read "The China Study" by T. Colin Campbell.
The point is that after all these years, there remains uncertainty as to whether something as ubiquitous as milk is good or bad.
(The milk industry, on the other hand, is IMHO misleading and bad.)
You will drive yourself nuts if you play the "healthy" food game.
You will drive yourself healthy if you play the healthy eating game.
There is a difference and the difference is big and important.

Personally, I try to stay away from Cow's milk. I do eat hard Italian type cheeses, like Pecorino Romano etc and I also try to eat organic yogurt when I remember. That is about it. For cereal, I have learned to eat hot cereals made with water.
