Cooking method key to potatoes' potassium level

Just an example of a somewhat loony article for "normal" people.
"Cubing your potatoes before boiling them can cut down on cooking time, but it will also shortchange you on potassium, a new study demonstrates."
Okay, so far.
"This is important not only for the average consumer looking to get enough of the mineral, the researchers say, but also for people with kidney impairment, who generally have to limit their potassium intake."
Here is the nutty part.

How many of you "average" consumers do the potato thing looking to "get enough" potassium?

I will bet, very few.

But this is the kind of silliness we get from the experts.

Instead of concentrating on what really matters, we get Potassium Security Level Threat Orange info.
