Unlike this procedure, which is simply overperformed, fat person surgery is both needless and, by definition, overperformed.

Unless it is lining your pockets with gold.

Then it is underperformed.

There is much money to be made from bariatric surgery. It is a profit center for sick care institutions and sick care practitioners.

There is no money for the sick care system to make if you drop the pounds on your own.

That is likely a reason why the sick care industry continues to offer the same bad advice for weight loss despite astronomical failure rates.
