Freshman 5 may put young women on road to obesity

Crap research.
"'Freshman 15,' the idea that new college students put on 15 pounds of weight in the first year, may be a myth, but young women do gain about five pounds, Canadian researchers report...

While their study found no increase in calorie intake, the researcher noted, it relied on the girls' report of what they had eaten in the previous 24 hours, which isn't necessarily a reliable way to gauge a person's average calorie consumption. At college, she pointed out, 'they do have cafeterias available where it's all you can eat.'"
BUT, the study does point out some important stuff:
1. Self-reported data is by and large useless.

2. To gain weight, any amount of weight, Calories in must exceed Calories out. If research fails to find where the imbalance occurred or glosses over it completely, the research is faulty and its conclusions almost useless, if not misleading.
Bottom line, watch what you are told by the MSM.
